Falling was created as a -one man- artist-sport, born in the romantic Prenzlauer Berg of Germany's Berlin.
It developed to many other Sub-Falling forms and this process is still going on.
The idea is to create, using only a camera, an artist and some stairs, a picture that depicts a fall as realistically and artistically individualistic as possible.

Everyone can join in on this artist-sport and create his own fall-impression, depicting extraordinary stairs in public places.
There are only a few rules that form the Falling Code-of-honour:

Rule #1: You have to use a camera with self-timer (10 seconds)!

Rule#2: You mustn't use a tripod! Give birth to creative approaches when you have to deal with difficult angles or positions.

Rule#3: The artist in the picture needs to press the shutter release!

Rule#4: "Mass Falling" artists appearing on the picture must wait behind the person pressing the shutter release. They may only move after the release has been pressed.

Rule #5: Automatic picture series are not allowed but may be used for study-purposes. This should not become common, though!

The idea behind these rules is to keep Falling in the urban underground.
The purpose of Falling is to make experiences with the environment, society and oneself during the process. An important factor is the thorough preparation of each
 picture and the small amount of time to get into position. The more public the space is, the better the experience with society, but distant places
 can and will teach you a lot as well, in terms of the environment and your relation towards it. Individuality is expressed in yourself and the pictures then.
 The pictures are not the end, only the swiftly passing stations on the way of new experiences. But still they are important and to be taken seriously, for without
 them there would be no way and also no philosophy of Falling. Create your own Falling portals, be daring and live this artist-sport,love it
 inside and expand it and share this pristine and rustic experience with others.
